Comedian Josh Thomas announces that Everythings Gonna Be Okay will end after the second season
Josh Thomasâ US comedy series Everythingâs Gonna Be Okay has been cancelled.
The 34-year-old Australian comedian announced the news in a sombre Instagram post on Tuesday.
Josh confirmed that the second season, which was shot during the âpeakâ of the Covid pandemic in the US, will be the last for the series before it wraps.

âWeâve decided Season 2 of Everythingâs Gonna Be Okay will be its last,â confirmed the actor.
Josh gave an âextra super special thanksâ to his cast, writers and crew, who he described as âtalented, kind and passionateâ.
âWe made the second season at the peak of the pandemic and everyone did such a beautiful job of keeping each other safe and happy and sometimes dancing,â he wrote.

Josh praised Freeform, the American cable channel that aired the program, and said they were a âdream to work withâ and âsincerely progressiveâ.
âIâm so grateful we got a platform to make this show,â the comedian continued. âI love them and they are obsessed with me, I hope we get another chance to work together.â
âThe show has been such a special experience,â he added. âI got to learn so much about the world and myself while making it.â
Everythingâs Gonna Be Okay was written, produced and stars Josh as Nicholas, a neurotic young man who is forced to look after his half-sisters after his father becomes terminally ill.

The series was unique in that it brought the experiences and issues of those on the autism spectrum to the spotlight.
Joshâs co-star Kayla Cromer, who has autism, played the role of Matilda, one of the half sisters, who is a high school senior with the developmental disorder.
Josh revealed in early April that he is also on the autism spectrum.
After announcing the cancellation of the show, the actor later revealed in his Instagram Stories that heâs already working on a new project.
